My own laptop, capable of expressing uniqueness of Generation MZ
Flipbook shares a design language with Samsung’s mobile phone Flip.
First, front display is for showing information to the users, which dramatically boosts user
convenience.
Secondly, front display of the laptop can be customized. expressing diverse personalities of younger generation and having ‘my own laptop’ is no longer a dream.
Background
Putting a sticker on a laptop is a desire of having ‘different’ and ‘personalized’ laptop.
Furthermore, stickers are not easy to remove once they are attached. Thus, making improvement on this drawback was essential.
Process
Firstly determined location and surface area of the front display,
and then accordingly conducted mock-up test to check actual scale of the product
Concept
The main feature of Flipbook is the front display. Users can easily check various information such as message, battery, and downloads through the front display without opening the laptop.
To prevent unwanted touch inputs, the front display can also be locked up by the button on a side.

Tempered glass is used for the front cover, and for the other side of the laptop, various graphic designs can be applied through the digital printing.
By using sprays, variations for colors and gradations can be applied on the back side.
This allows users to have their own laptop.
They can have an aesthetic and vivid laptop through gradation on the back side.
